United States is Considering banning TikTok

The United States is considering banning TikTok app from china due to National security concerns. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News, Laura Ingraham, in an interview on Monday in which the US Secretary of State said,

Laura asked Pompeo whether what the US would think about banning 60 Chinese App by India. in which answer US Secretary of State said, “You should know we’re taking this very seriously. We’re certainly looking at it,( India ban 60 Chinese Apps including TikTok over the border clashes between two neighboring countries)

“With respect to Chinese apps on people’s cellphones, I can assure you the United States will get this one right too, Laura,” Pompeo said. “I don’t want to get out in front of the president, but it’s something we’re looking at.”

When Laura asked Pompeo about what do you think Americans should download TikTok on their smartphones? IN response Pompeo said, “Only if you want your private information in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.”

After this, a TikTok spokesmen respond to Pompeo comment,s on BuzzFeed News:
“TikTok is led by an American CEO, with hundreds of employees and key leaders across safety, security, product, and public policy here in the U.S. We have no higher priority than promoting a safe and secure app experience for our users. We have never provided user data to the Chinese government, nor would we do so if asked.”

On 29 June 2020 India also ban TikTok and other 59 Chinese Apps due to National security threats. India also claims that “received many representations from citizens regarding the security of data and breach of privacy impacting upon public order issues”

India is the biggest market for TikTok and So as the United States, according to Mike Pompeo the US Secretary of State The US Is Considering Banning TikTok. This will be a huge loss for TikTok they will lose billions of Users after India.
